Born out of the vision of Solar Thermal Australia Pty Ltd in 2003, and initially represented solely by the Apricus brand, the company has evolved into a leader in energy-efficient hot water systems.
Reclaim’s mission has always been clear: to inspire consumers to embrace energy efficiency while reducing CO2 emissions. As natural refrigerant experts, Reclaim has pioneered the development of products that exemplify reliability and sustainability, offering a smart alternative to traditional systems. Reclaim Energy is the brainchild of Founder and Managing Director, Dr Chris Taylor. Dr Taylor’s relentless pursuit of sustainable solutions led to the development of Reclaim Energy’s CO2 Heat Pump Hot Water System—an innovative product that reduces energy use by 80% and slashes emissions from the market standard of 1430 tonnes of CO2 per system to less than 1 tonne.
Dr. Taylor is also dedicated to sharing his knowledge and expertise with others. He works tirelessly to educate consumers and industry professionals across the globe about the importance of sustainable products and practices, bringing about positive change to the industry and to consumers.
Key Milestones and Innovative Solutions
The journey of Reclaim Energy is marked by key milestones. One of the most groundbreaking advancements came with the launch of Reclaim’s Wi-Fi-enabled CO2 Hot Water Heat Pump System. This product integrates seamlessly with solar and household systems, giving users unprecedented control over their energy consumption. In February 2024, Reclaim took another bold step forward by launching a partnership with Panasonic—the first of its kind in Australia. This collaboration not only underscores the quality and excellence of Reclaim’s products but also positions Reclaim Energy as a trailblazer in sustainable hot water solutions. Reclaim are now the only top 10 brand in Australia that does not use R134A refrigerants, further demonstrating the commitment to responsible energy consumption.
